Bangladesh Navy Volunteer Reserve Commission (Executive branch)

Educational Qualification

Minimum BSc Honours/ BSc in Physics, Mathematics or Chemistry (Minimum GPA 2.5/ 2nd class in all the examination starting from SSC)

Marital Status

Unmarried.

Appointment

After final selection, the candidates will be appointed in the rank of Acting Sub Lieutenant as Bangladesh Navy Volunteer Reserve Officer for 5 years. Later on, it may be extended as per the rules.

Engineering and Electrical Branch (Male)

Age

(Affidavit is not acceptable) Maximum 30 years.

Educational Qualification

Minimum BSc in Naval Architecture, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from any of the government approved engineering universities (Minimum GPA 2.5/ 2nd class in all the examination starting from SSC). Higher educated candidates will get preference.

Marital Status

Unmarried.

Appointment

After final selection, the candidates will be appointed in the rank of Acting Sub Lieutenant as Permanent Commission Officer.

Additional Facilities

Once commissioned, a special allowance amounting Taka 45,500/=(Taka forty five thousand five hundred only) will be granted at a time. Two years antedated seniority will be provided as per the rules.

Education Branch (Male and Female)

Age

(Affidavit is not acceptable) Maximum 35 years.

Educational Qualification

Honours and Masters in Physics, Mathematics and English (Minimum GPA 2.5/ 2nd class in all the examination starting from SSC). Candidates completing 4 years BSc Honours may also apply.

Marital Status

Married/Unmarried.

Appointment

After final selection, the candidates will be appointed in the rank of Acting Sub Lieutenant as Short Service Commission officer for 5 years. Later on, it may be extended as per the rules.

Education Branch Law (Male and Female)

Age

(Affidavit is not acceptable) Maximum 35 years.

Educational Qualification.

Law

LLM with Honours from any government approved university (Minimum GPA 2.5/ 2nd class in all the examination starting . from SSC).

Experience

Minimum 3 years practical experience as lawyer and 2 years experience in Supreme Court.

Married/Unmarried.

Appointment

After final selection, the candidates will be appointed in the rank of Acting Sub Lieutenant as Short Service Commission Officer for 5 years. Later on, it may be extended as per the rules.

Additional Facilities

Once commissioned a special allowance amounting Taka 32,500/= (Taka Thirty two thousand five hundred only) will be granted at a time. Two years antedated seniority will be adjusted as per the rules.

Education Branch (Medical) Male

Age

(Affidavit is not acceptable) Maximum 28 years.

Educational Qualification

MBBS Degree from any Govt. recognized Madical college and GPA 3.0 in SSC and HSC.

Special Qualification

Proficient in both written and spoken english.

Marital Status

Unmarried.

Appointment

After final selection, the candidates will be appointed in the rank of Acting Lieutenant as Short Service Commission Officer for 5 years. Later on, it may be extended as per the rules.

Additional Facilities

Once commissioned a special allowance amounting Taka 45,500/= (Taka Forty Five thousand five hundred only) will be granted at a time. Three years antedated seniority will be adjusted as per the rules.

Nationality

Bangladeshi by domicile.

Ineligibility

• Removal or discharge from Navy, Army, Air Force or any government service.
• Screen out or refusal by ISSB for twice.
• Unfit by Army, Navy and Air Force Medical Board.
• Sentenced by any court.
• Incompletely and inaccurately filled up form and submission of number of applications under same name.
• Incompletely and inaccurately filled up form and submission of number of applications under same name.
• If any candidate is married to a foreign citizen.
